Section 38. Chief judge of district and metropolitan court districts

Chief judge of district and metropolitan court districts

Each judicial district and metropolitan court district shall have a chief judge who shall have the administrative responsibility for that judicial district or metropolitan court district. Each chief judge shall be selected by a majority of the district judges or, In
the case of the metropolitan court, by a majority or the metropolitan court judges in that judicial district or metropolitan court district.
In the event of a tie, the senior judge shall be the chief judge.
