Perfect toleration of religious sentiment shall be secured, and no inhabitant of this State shall ever be molested in person or property on account of his or her mode of religious worship. Polygamous or plural marriages and polygamous cohabitation are forever prohibited.

Polygamous or plural marriages, polygamous cohabitation, and the sale, barter, or giving of intoxicating liquors to Indians, the introduction of such liquors into the Indian country, which term shall also include all lands owned or occupied by the Pueblo Indians of New Mexico on the twentieth day of June, nineteen hundred and ten, or which are occupied by them at the time of the admission of New Mexico as a State, are forever prohibited.
