General superintending control over courts; writs; appellate jurisdiction

Except to the extent limited or abrogated by article IV, section 6, or article V, section 2, the supreme court shall have general superintending control over all courts; power to issue, hear and determine prerogative and remedial writs; and appellate jurisdiction as provided by rules of the supreme court. The supreme court shall not have the power to remove a judge.

Jurisdiction

The supreme court shall have a general superintending control over all inferior courts; and shall have power to issue writs of error, habeas corpus, mandamus, quo warranto, procendo and other original and remedial writs, and to hear and determine the same. In all other cases it shall have appellate jurisdiction only.
