Article XI.
An Ordinance Concerning the Election of Governors
Section 4.
Be it further ordained, That the person so declared and proclaimed Governor as aforesaid, shall, on the second Monday of September, A. D. 1862, appear before some Judge of the Supreme Court, or some one of the Judges of the Superior Courts of Law, and take and subscribe the oath now prescribed by law for qualification of Governor of this State, and shall immediately enter upon the discharge of the duties of his office, which oath, so taken and subscribed, shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State.
